Who is Michelle Zahn?

I am a retired dairy farmer. I own and operate a national handmade soap and hand woven towel mail order business, known as The Soap Lady.

I have always lived in Wisconsin. My husband, Jim, and I are married 45 years. We have 3 children, 8 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson. We raise beef cattle. I raise sheep for their wool so that I can spin and weave beautiful things.

I am running for Senate because I want to live in a society where we all care about one another as much as we care about ourselves.

I have traveled all over the world to learn about how other countries deal with issues such as climate change, gun control, education, healthcare, water conservation, alternative energy and campaign finance. I can bring new, to us, ideas to the table for discussion.

Throughout my life I have made time for volunteer opportunities to give back to my community. I have served over 27 years on various boards of directors.

* Former member Chamber of Commerce (two 2-year terms as president)

* Member Leadership Wisconsin Alumni

* Former member Leadership WI Board of Directors

* Former member Arts Association Board of Directors

* Charter member Dodgeland Dollars for Scholars

* Volunteer teach 4-H

* Annually support the fire department, the police department and other community service organizations with donations of my products for their fundraisers.
